Jawahar Knowledge Center (JKC)

                    

Our college has been selected as Center of Excellence known as Jawahar Knowledge Center (JKC) for implementation of FSCPM project and SKF Programme.
 

Jawahar Knowledge centers (JKCs): JKC, located in a reputed engineering college, will be a nodal point for creative activity, best practices - a laboratory for experimentation and innovation to the best students having good academic record for achieving the desired results of better employability with human development and is a repository of agricultural health, utilitarian and other information. JKCs are co-hosted with the Best Engineering Colleges based on the Infrastructural facilities and the commitment shown by the college.

Activities Include:

·         Providing a project environment to the best students in the district

·         Offering training to Industry, government and public.

·         Popularizing e-governance initiatives by conducting tours and Lecture demos

·         Dissemination of Knowledge acquired through official and web sources and generation of Data Banks and FAQs and answers on all topics of concern for the District.

·         Providing Video and Teleconferencing facilities to students at first instance, and to all at a later time, to bring about an interaction between experts and novice users and providers by conducting Workshops, Seminars and Get-togethers etc.

·         Inventorize the assets of the District with Talented pool, Research centers, Climatic and Agricultural data, Wages, Prices and Industrial data.

Projects:  200 mini projects, 200 major live projects from government and IT Industry.

Training In:

·         Project Documentation with CMM Standards

·         Industry Grade Software Engineering Skills.

Government's Initiative is Using JKCs, Government wants to

·         Impart IT skills to 1000 women students for full-employability and 10000 others to upgrade their skills  to an acceptable level to the industry.

·         Impart Soft-Skills to 5000 students in JKCs.

·         Train skills in Hardware Design in about 5 centers.
